We are Deb and George Terrell and we’d like to share a bit about ourselves, our farm and our company, Nature’s Circle.
We moved to Aurora, TX in 2000 to start farming. In 2002 we planted Luffa on a small scale. Since then, we started researching and learning about the many uses and benefits of Luffa. Our cat RB started playing with the Luffa, so we started designing cat toys out of Luffa. Because of RB’s interest, in 2005, we began selling the cat toys in local shops. We named our company LUV A LUFFA and appointed RB as the CEO (Cat Executive Officer and Product Developer).
In 2013 we were approached by a local beekeeper we met at the Farmer’s Market, who said we needed bees to pollinate the lovely Luffa flowers. We learned that bees love Luffa and a delicious tasting honey results, so then the journey into bees began. We currently work with Donny Johns of Nature’s Nectar LLC. Donny manages our bees and is our mentor. We are a certified “Bee Friendly” farm and also a Monarch Butterfly Waystation number 11382. We promote growing Luffa and other bee plants to help the bees. #Luffatoo is to include Luffa plants on plant lists to grow for bees.
In 2014, a soap artisan asked if we would be interested in dairy goats. After much thought, Chatty and Eden, LaMancha Dairy Goats, joined our team at the farm. In 2016, we received our Texas Commercial Food License and started baking Chatty’s Gourmet Dog Treats in our kitchen. Our dog treats are made from our goat cheese. We are sporting dog enthusiasts. Since 1993 we have worked with Gordon Setters participating in obedience, hunting tests, agility, and rescue. Deb is a pet stylist who has researched pet allergies for over 20 years.
In 2018, we became Nature’s Circle to encompass all of our farm products which includes: Luffa, Luffa cat toys, plants, soap, dog treats, dairy goat products, honey, and farm art.
We support many charitable organizations and give farm tours. We are an innovative farm that specializes in local, unique farm goods and art. We are always learning new ways to utilize the land and resources around us.
